Compressor Reciprocating Packing and Wiper Rings

Did you know?

Adam Warren France created the first packing ring in the cellar of his home in the early 1880s and the rest is history. CPI, formerly France Packing Co., garnered immediate success with its innovative packing ring design. Shortly after the business was established in 1898, it secured business relationships with the government and various industries that led on the edge of engineering innovation––like the United States Navy and many of New York’s emerging power plants.
One year later, in 1899, the original patent for France’s segmental tangent cut packing ring was filed and obtained. Now, more than a century of innovation later, that same packing ring design and original patent remains the industry standard.

Packing Rings

Using a wide range of metallic and non-metallic materials and a variety of designs we offer a large selection of packing rings designed for unidirectional and bidirectional sealing, low-pressure vent and gas purge sealing.

Wiper Rings
We design each and every one of our wiper rings to provide a tight seal that works to keep lubricants where they belong – within the crankcase. In doing so, we can help keep your compressor running longer and more efficiently.
